"Silly Goose!" was a children's book cover I created for my Design and Layout class.
I had the freedom to guide the direction of this children's storybook. A running joke with my friend is how my clumsiness always makes me a "silly goose", hence the inspiration for it. As the synopsis written goes, the story is about a goose from the pond that wanders into the city and accidentally causes chaos to the humans around him. He meets a new friend and they both tackle the city together.
The simple and geometric design makes this piece easily identifiable as a children's storybook. I was unexpectedly pleased with how the publishing logo (GCM Press) turned out as it is representative of the letter "P" and a goose. It was a lucky experiment that I developed quickly and managed to integrate into the logo.
